“Ao longo desses anos, Daniella e eu rimos e choramos juntas (em português!)”

Daniela has been my professor in Brazilian Portuguese (and culture) for almost 10 years. I began my study as preparation for an upcoming trip to Brazil. Four trips later, I am still deepening my understanding of the language and culture with Daniella’s skillful guidance. Whether the lesson is an exercise in grammar, or a discussion about an article or current events, Daniella always brings fresh material that is interesting and relevant for my level. Over these years, Daniella and I rimos e choramos juntos (em português!), e passamos a nos considerar amigos. Para mim, aprender um idioma tem tanto a ver com conexão humana quanto com gramática e vocabulário. É fácil se conectar com Daniella, além de ser uma professora talentosa e experiente. Sempre espero ansiosamente pelo nosso tempo juntos.
